Nothing is more important to Rick, a cursillista, than his Catholic faith and family. He has been a member of St. Raphael's Parish for 50 years where he serves as Lector, and Minister of the Eucharist. Rick's faith, family and Foundation are continuous sources of inspiration. His wife and children are the center of his universe as he perfects the art of balancing work, family and community in a way that inspires so many around him.

In retirement and throughout their lives, Rick and Justine live their dream of travelling the world. Rick is a wise and intuitive leader who provides guidance to colleagues, friends and family. His boundless generosity touches all who know him.

Following the death of their daughter Tara from complications due to Juvenile Diabetes, Rick and his wife Justine founded the Tara Lynn Giuliani Memorial Foundation. Tara led a full, rewarding life but was a brittle diabetic which led to severe complications leading to total blindness by the time she was 21. Despite her blindness, Tara continued a successful university career at the University of Guelph guided by her faithful companion Sander, her seeing-eye Labrador guide dog. Unfortunately, complications persisted leading to her death in June 1994. A scholarship has been awarded annually to a deserving visually-impaired student at the University of Guelph, in memory of Tara.
